Outsourcing contract with CSC/UBS: Swisscom to manage sections of the telecommunications infrastructure in Switzerland

UBS is outsourcing the management of its telecoms infrastructure to the Global IT services provider CSC. CSC and UBS have signed a global IT outsourcing contract for the provision of voice, data multimedia services. Swisscom will take over the management of key sections of the telecommunications infrastructure in Switzerland.
In globalised markets, international companies such as UBS require worldwide solutions for their information and telecommunications technology (ICT) needs. As partner to CSC, Swisscom will manage parts of the bank's ICT solutions with immediate effect. The contract will run for a minimum period of five years. Working under mandate to CSC, Swisscom will manage parts of the data service, take care of data security and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory provisions. Swisscom will also manage and maintain the existing telecoms infrastructure.
