Berne, 28 June 2011
Microsoft today unveiled Office 365, an innovative solution that enables communication and cooperation within companies from any location. Swisscom is likely to make the Internet-based Office 365 available to its business customers from late 2011. Swisscom’s high-quality networks will ensure that it is possible to work quickly and securely at all times.
Office 365 offers companies a solution package that allows communication and cooperation between locations. Office 365 is available from the cloud and allows people to work from any location, offering a professional e-mail solution and scheduling as well as allowing multiple people within a team to work together on documents and tasks.
As a Microsoft partner, Swisscom will integrate Office 365 into its own offerings for SMEs and corporate customers. Roger Wüthrich-Hasenböhler, Head of the SME division at Swisscom, has this to say: "SMEs will benefit from our cooperation with Microsoft, because it combines the new, innovative Office 365 with Swisscom’s first-class infrastructure and service. This will allow our clients to focus on their core business without having to worry about financing, procuring and maintaining their IT infrastructure.”
Christian Wohlgensinger, Director Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners, Microsoft Switzerland adds: "We have a long-standing and successful partnership with Swisscom. The launch of Office 365 will enable us to expand this still further and take a critical step forwards. Clients will be able to benefit from offers that ideally combine the strengths of both companies. I believe that this complete service package will enable us to achieve significant added benefits, particularly for SMEs."
Microsoft Office 365 is expected to be available from Swisscom at the end of 2011. Customers who are interested can register now at www.swisscom.ch/office365 and will be informed in good time when it becomes available.
