Swisscom already provides coverage with fast 4G/LTE mobile data transfer technology in more than 91% of Switzerland. Effective immediately, Swisscom customers in Italy and Spain can now also use 4G/LTE to swiftly find the best pizzeria in Rome or post a quick holiday picture on Facebook while lounging on a beach in Majorca. Not only that, but the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Great Britain and Romania are scheduled to follow in the weeks to come. Swisscom customers can already benefit from high surfing speeds on trips to France, Austria, Norway, the USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. With a grand total of 30 4G/LTE roaming agreements in place, Swisscom is Europe's leader and offers the best mobile coverage in Switzerland and abroad.
To ensure that Swiss football fans in Brazil can report quickly on the latest World Cup events, Swisscom is now the first Swiss provider to offer 4G/LTE roaming in this South American country. Special savings await travellers to Brazil in June and July: For a one-time fee of CHF 30, Swisscom customers will be able to make 90 minutes of calls and send 90 SMS/MMS during the two months of the World Cup. This special offer is valid until the end of July and can be activated conveniently via SMS by texting “Brazil" to 444. Data packages for carefree surfing starting at CHF 12 (50 MB) have already been on sale in the Swisscom Cockpit since 1 April.
