Swisscom opens its Valais Business Park in Sion

Swisscom’s new Sion Business Park is opening its doors. The construction works were completed at the end of 2015 and its employees will move in to the building on Route de la Piscine from 26 February. It boasts modern workstations for more than 500 staff who will be coming from various sites in Sion and Sierre. The building complies with Swiss standard Minergie-P-Eco and meets Swisscom’s strict requirements with regard to sustainable development as well as work efficiency. The new building reflects Swisscom’s strong foothold in the local economy.

A cutting-edge development with regard to ecology, ergonomics and work technology, the new Business Park fully meets Swisscom’s need for modern workstations. In total, the Business Park consists of five floors and two basement levels, one of which has some 90 parking spaces. The ground floor features a canteen and conference area. On the upper floors, around 440 workstations have been set up to accommodate more than 500 employees.

The new Business Park meets very stringent requirements with regard to sustainable development. The building’s ambient temperature can be controlled via a groundwater-fed heat pump, and a photovoltaic system is incorporated into the roof. The building is entirely in line with Swiss standard Minergie-P-Eco.

The concept of architectural firm Suter & Sauthier in Sion was developed into a design by general planner Emch + Berger in Lausanne and carried out by Implenia, the general contractor on this project. The investor, CSA Real Estate Switzerland Commercial, is an investment group in the Credit Suisse Investment Foundation.
