Swisscom TV Public enables the public broadcast of the TV programme. The range on offer is directed at corporate customers and is available from 1 June 2016 as an additional option from My SME Office. In addition to multi-display and Multiroom, Swisscom TV Public offers a diverse range of entertainment in razor-sharp UHD quality.
A TV range specially for corporate customers: Swisscom TV Public is available from 1 June 2016 and provides entertainment in public spaces. This includes bars, restaurants and also waiting and reception areas in companies including employee spaces, such as in break rooms. "We want to be there live at sporting events or important political decisions and get engrossed in them. Swisscom TV Public provides corporate customers shared experiences for their guests and employees", says Thomas Bachofner, Head of Product Management for SMEs.
More than 225 TV stations, of which 70+ are in HD quality, and more than 200 radio stations provide a diverse range of entertainment for guests and employees. In addition, thanks to the new UHD box from Swisscom, broadcasts in Ultra High Definition are also possible – the new technology standard for TV (four times sharper than HD). To be able to watch content in UHD quality, customers need not only the Swisscom TV box but also a television that supports UHD and a minimum bandwidth of 40 Mbps. The content in UHD quality will be expanded on an ongoing basis. Swisscom TV Public allows a TV programme, such as the European Championship final, to be shown on several screens simultaneously (multi-display) - without a delay. It is also possible to broadcast different programmes on different screens (Multiroom), such as when two important games are taking places in parallel. Depending on demand, up to five TV boxes can be used simultaneously (CHF 5.- per month per additional box).
Swisscom TV Public is available for CHF 15.- per month as an extension to the My SME Office combined offer (S, M or L). Corporate customers who are already using My SME Office generally receive Swisscom TV Public within two to three days of ordering. The European Football Championship can begin.
