In this career path, the apprentices support customers on their own or with the assistance of a specialist, they install hardware and software and configure devices.

Marc Marthaler, Head of Next Generation at Swisscom: «Digitalisation is progressing at a rapid pace. We take responsibility and prepare young people for the future because ICT know-how is becoming ever more important.» And this year too, it seems that demand for administrative roles, such as commercial apprentice or office assistant, is continuing to fall whereas over one third now start their careers in the field of ICT.
