On 31/12/2018, Valérie Berset Bircher will step down from the Board of Directors of Swisscom Ltd. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has appointed her to be its Head of International Labour Affairs effective as of 01/01/2019. Her successor is to be elected on the occasion of the next Annual General Meeting on 2 April 2019.
Valérie Berset Bircher was elected to the Board of Directors of Swisscom Ltd as an employee representative in April 2016 and is a member of the Audit Committee. Chairman of the Board Hansueli Loosli regrets her departure from the Board of Directors: “With the departure of Valérie Berset Bircher, we say farewell to a highly versatile, astute and empathetic leader. I would like to express my sincere thanks to her for her outstanding commitment to Swisscom and wish her a great deal of enjoyment and success as she embarks on her new challenge.”
