Swisscom has triumphed in the Ookla Speedtest Awards for the sixth time, coming top in the categories ‘best mobile coverage’ and ‘fastest mobile phone network’. A Speed Score of 67.25 Mbit/s means that Swisscom customers enjoy the fastest network speeds with the best coverage.
Ookla analysed the results of tests taken with Speedtest across Swiss mobile phone networks in theperiod from July to December 2020. Customers can use the Speedtest app from Ookla to measure thespeed of the mobile network. Over half a million measurements show that Swisscom has the fastestmobile network and the best mobile coverage. Christoph Aeschlimann, Swisscom CIO&CTO, isdelighted: “This is the result of our ongoing network expansion, as that’s what enables us actually toprovide our customers with the high speeds and so prepare them for the opportunities of thenetworked world.” Swisscom achieves average top speeds of 79.81 Mbit/s when downloading and22.28 Mbit/s when uploading.
