Ookla once again confirms that Swisscom has the best network in Switzerland

Ookla analysed the results of tests taken with Speedtest across Swiss mobile phone networks in theperiod from July to December 2020. Customers can use the Speedtest app from Ookla to measure thespeed of the mobile network. Over half a million measurements show that Swisscom has the fastestmobile network and the best mobile coverage. Christoph Aeschlimann, Swisscom CIO&CTO, isdelighted: “This is the result of our ongoing network expansion, as that’s what enables us actually toprovide our customers with the high speeds and so prepare them for the opportunities of thenetworked world.” Swisscom achieves average top speeds of 79.81 Mbit/s when downloading and22.28 Mbit/s when uploading. Significant investments in 5G and 4G expansion

Swisscom is constantly driving the expansion of the mobile phone network to meet the risingdemand for data. Swisscom already provides the latest 5G mobile generation to 96% of thepopulation. The faster version 5G+, with all the advantages of 5G, is available at over 500 locationsand is being expanded further.
