Once again, blue TV is two steps ahead with two new offerings and the integration of several channels that customers have long been asking for: a large package for series fans thanks to the long-term partnership with Sky Switzerland, a greater selection of Switzerland’s beloved documentary channels and a personalised overview of highlights from the vast entertainment offering.
blue Premium: In German-speaking Switzerland, this includes the extensive content offered with the Sky Show Entertainment Pass, including the most popular international series from HBO, Showtime and, of course, Sky Originals. blue TV customers will thus have access to major series such as The Last of Us, Babylon Berlin, House of the Dragon, Euphoria and And Just Like That, with the brand new season 2 starting soon. From April and thus at the same time as the US première, there is also season 4 of the explosive and award-winning media drama Succession. In addition, there are more than 40 linear channels, including eight channels from Sky, such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Crime and Sky One, as well as a good selection of documentary and cartoon channels, including National Geographic, Warner Serie, Boomerang, Cartoon Network and Sony Channel. Wolfgang Elsässer, Head of Entertainment at Swisscom, explains: “The blue Premium package is packed full of the best entertainment from leading content providers. With complete series and entire seasons for streaming, combined with the best TV channels, blue Premium really does offer entertainment without limits.” blue Premium costs CHF 19.90 per month and is available now. In March, customers can enjoy a free, no-obligation, 30-day trial.
In French-speaking Switzerland, blue Premium has been offered in cooperation with OCS for some time. From 1 March, the offering will be greatly expanded for the same price (CHF 19.90). 30 new channels have been added, including Animaux, Toutes l’histoires, Action and AB1 – and access will be even easer via a dedicated blue Premium homepage on blue TV.
In both French and German-speaking Switzerland, blue Premium is also included with the new blue TV XL subscription for CHF 49.90 per month, making it even more cost effective.
myTV: Check out personalised suggestions from across several hundred channels – all possible thanks to myTV, which creates several personalised sections for you based on your viewing habits. It flags up when a new series of a regularly watched programme is available, for example. “This resolves one of the big disadvantages of linear television,” explains Dario Vieceli, Head of TV & Smart Products at Swisscom. “And combines the preview function with convenient blue TV Replay and recording functions. Many television fans have eagerly awaited this innovation, which allows customers to look up or record the suggested programmes at the touch of a button. myTV thus makes good old linear television as convenient as streaming.”
myTV will be available free of charge from 9 March to all customers with a package that includes a Replay function and who have activated “personalised functions”. Note that personalised recommendations, including myTV in the personal profile, can still be deactivated at any time.
