A team of 120 Swisscom employees works hard every day to make blue TV bigger and better. Swisscom will launch the new TV-Box 5 on 24 October 2023. Besides being 35% more energy efficient, the box is half the size of its predecessor and consists of almost two-thirds recycled plastic with zero plastic in the packaging.
With this compact, stylish device, the possibilities are endless. The new blue TV box is powered by Android TV and integrates the entire Google world, giving blue TV customers, should they wish, full access to all Android TV services when signing in with a Google account. Customers now benefit from Google Assistant and Google Play Store, offering thousands of smart TV apps, from streaming, social media, gaming, news and fitness to education. In other words, the big screen can now do almost as much as the smartphone and can be personalised with your own favourite apps. The box can thus be used as a fitness coach, music player or even a game console. You can now also pair headphones via Bluetooth and easily transfer music, videos and pictures over WLAN with Chromecast built-in.
There’s even more streaming for Swisscom blue TV customers from November. The Disney+ streaming service is now available to customers, giving access to a diverse and extensive range of new and exclusive films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star. The entire fascinating world of Disney+ offers a wide variety of entertainment, including documentaries, critically acclaimed dramas, comedies and classic animated films. blue TV customers can look forward to a unique selection of blockbuster movies, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Little Mermaid and Avatar: The Way of Water, series such as Loki with Tom Hiddleston, Criminal Minds: Evolution, or the hit series from the Star Wars universe: The Mandalorian.
The brand new, attractively priced ‘Standard with advertising’ model for Switzerland is available for CHF 7.90 per month. For customers wanting to avoid advertisements, a Standard, ad-free Disney+ model is available for CHF 12.90, as well as a new Premium model for CHF 17.90, which supports Ultra HD streaming in 4K and HDR in addition to four simultaneous streams.
With so many tempting streaming offers available, many customers will be wanting to combine the different services. Now they can. With its blue SuperMax annual subscription, Swisscom is launching an exclusive package combining Disney+, Paramount+, Sky Cinema and blue Max for CHF 24.90 per month: a saving of more than 35% compared to the individual prices. “For me as a film lover, it’s like Christmas and New Year rolled into one,” enthuses Dirk Wierzbitzki. “This is precisely what blue TV has stood for over the past 17 years – bringing together what belongs together for our customers and offering them the whole world of entertainment.”
Managing streaming subscriptions has never been easier. Under My Selection in the online Customer Center, Swisscom customers have an overview of all their subscribed streaming services plus attractive deals. Services can be added or removed with just a few clicks. Everything is charged on the Swisscom bill.
