blue TV: find World Cup highlights and SRG SSR content faster than ever

Swisscom is expanding blue TV with new replay functions to help customers find their favourite content even faster. A new chapter navigation option is available for selected SRG SSR programmes like Tagesschau. Football fans will also be able to find FIFA World Cup highlights, including goals and near misses, at the touch of a button.

A family consisting of a husband, wife, and two children are happily sitting in front of the TV.

During the tournament, football fans will be able to revisit match highlights in near-real time: the new replay feature allows viewers to instantly jump to key moments, such as goals, near misses or red cards, without the need for tedious rewinding. This feature is available on most free TV channels broadcasting the World Cup matches, including SRG SSR (SRF, RTS, RSI), Das Erste, ZDF, RAI and BBC.

Instant access to relevant content on SRF, RTS and RSI with program chapters

Replay TV for blue TV customers now includes a chapter function for select SRG SSR channels. The function is available for the news and magazine formats on SRF such as Tagesschau, 10 vor 10, Rundschau and Kassensturz as well as for Sportpanorama and Happy Day. Programmes such as 12h45 and 19h30 are included on RTS, and programmes such as Telegiornale, Il quotidiano and Prima ora on RSI.

This enables customers to go straight to the content they want without having to fast-forward through the entire programme. The chapters are provided shortly after the programme has been broadcast and can also be found through the search function.

“Television brings people together, especially during major events like the FIFA World Cup,” says Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Residential Customers and Member of the Executive Committee of Swisscom Switzerland. “Through these new features, we are bringing our customers even closer to the action. Finding key moments is now faster and easier than ever, giving viewers maximum excitement in minimum time. This is television at its most enjoyable!”
