The world of digital security solutions is changing rapidly – threats are becoming more complex, and technologies are becoming more powerful. With Swisscom Secure Vision Ltd, the Secure and Intelligent Spaces (SIN) department of Swisscom Broadcast Ltd and audio-video g+m s.a. (AVGM) are bringing together the best of both worlds: the flexibility and customer proximity of an SME with the technological power and reach of Swisscom.
Swisscom Secure Vision is greater than the sum of its parts: The merger between Swisscom Broadcast SIN and audio-video g+m s.a. (AVGM) sees the combination of many years of expertise, regional proximity, and technological strength – with the aim of assuming a leading role in the Swiss security market. The vision behind this merger is to create secure, connected, and intelligent spaces in which technology is seamlessly integrated into everyday life – whether it be in public areas, critical infrastructures or in industrial, commercial and private environments.
The existing product portfolios of the two partners complement each other perfectly and are constantly undergoing further development: from state-of-the-art video
analyses and modular system solutions to tailor-made service and maintenance packages – with a focus on data protection, cyber resilience, and Swiss hosting at all times. Customers can benefit from having clear contact persons, short decision-making processes and solutions that can be adapted to individual needs – thus ensuring greater security, less work and maximum flexibility.
Stefan Mattenberger, future CEO of Swisscom Secure Vision
What makes Swisscom Secure Vision unique?
Stefan Mattenberger: “With Swisscom Secure Vision, we are bringing together specialisation, regional roots, and technological strength. We are combining the operational experience and customer proximity of AVGM with the IT expertise and innovative strength of Swisscom Broadcast SIN. This will result in solutions that really make our customers’ day-to-day lives more secure – lean, practical, and always at the cutting edge.”
What are the strategic objectives?
“We have a clear ambition: We want to be one of the three leading providers of security solutions in Switzerland. To this end, we are systematically expanding our portfolio, continuously developing it, and focusing on organic growth. We will always be focused on providing reliable service and a cooperative partnership.”
What specific added value does this offer for customers?
“For our customers, this means clearly structured access to suitable solutions – from planning and implementation to operation. Personal on-site support, short distances and efficient processes ensure that security projects of all sizes can be implemented smoothly.”
What does the merger mean for employees?
“Our employees will play a key role in shaping our success. With the new structure, we are creating a motivating environment with meaningful tasks, space for them to take the initiative and a culture that promotes dialogue. This will allow everyone to contribute their strengths and grow together with us.”
What will happen until the launch of the company in January 2026?
“We will be getting a great deal done before this date. We will bring the teams together, coordinate processes and develop new, tailored solutions. At the same time, we will be committed to establishing an open dialogue – internally with our employees and externally with customers and partners. To ensure that we can get to know you in person, we cordially invite you to our Business Breakfast on 23 September at the Swisscom Business Campus in Zurich. Swisscom Secure Vision will also be embarking on a roadshow with stops throughout various regions of Switzerland. Take advantage of these opportunities to come talk to us, find out more about our further development and ask any questions you may have in person. In this way, we aim to ensure that Swisscom Secure Vision has strong foundations right from the start.”
What does the new CEO think about the development of new technologies in the security sector?
“New technologies such as AI, edge computing and cloud solutions are fundamentally changing the security sector. Not only do we want to take advantage of these developments, we also want to play an active role in shaping them. This is particularly true in the area of video surveillance, in which AI is opening up new methods of detecting risks at an early stage. The responsible handling of data and close collaboration with research and in the field remain important.” This will result in intelligent, efficient, and reliable security solutions.”
Where do you see the greatest challenges for security technology in the next five years?
“I see the biggest challenges in three areas: Firstly, the increasing complexity of the threat landscape – from cyberattacks to hybrid risks. Secondly, the responsible handling of sensitive data, especially when new technologies and AI come into play. And thirdly, the seamless integration of these technologies into existing infrastructures. We have clear aspirations: We want solutions that are not only safe today, but also create a sense of trust in the future.”
The official launch of Swisscom Secure Vision is scheduled for 1 January 2026. Until then, there are lots of exciting activities on the agenda – from team events to customised solutions. Our shared values and a clear vision will help us traverse this path.
In an increasingly networked world, security is becoming more complex and demanding. Swisscom Secure Vision is facing up to this challenge with a motivated team that focuses on innovation, efficient processes, and genuine customer proximity. In this way, we are creating future-proof security solutions that are on the cutting edge of technology and consistently put people at the centre. Together, we are helping to keep Switzerland safe and connected – today and in the future.
