PACS is used for short- and long-term storage, management, sending and presentation of medical images. It enables DICOM data or worklists to be stored in the cloud and has web-based operation and administration.
It gives group practices and doctors the option to introduce a new PACS without any risk, while hospitals can extend their existing image archiving systems or outsource a long-term archive to us. Institutions already use PACS to share DICOM modalities or get themselves connected in order to synchronise worklists. PACS provides doctors with the option to access studies securely on any device, from any location.
The integrated viewer enables images to be viewed easily without any complications.
Our fully-fledged PACS is operated and monitored in Swisscom data centres.
The Software as a Service model enables a PACS to be implemented fast and at low cost.
The connection of local DICOM modalities makes no change to your PACS/DICOM infrastructure.
On the move, from your home office or from a PC at a remote location – you have access via VPN.
With PACS you benefit from interfaces to other systems, such as the MedicalConnector.
Swisscom is a traditional Swiss company operating under Swiss law. Your data stays here.
The following graphic shows you how various locations are connected to each other with the CloudConnector.
A detailed description:
The access to your PACS in the cloud is secured via the CloudConnector with its integrated firewall and VPN client. A firewall tailored to your requirements runs in the data centre, as well as a VPN server that performs the authentications based on certificates. H-Net operates a separate, isolated Certificate Authority (CA) by means of which the certificates are issued or deactivated for each customer.
Your PACS server is designed for high availability and is monitored around the clock in our data centre. We also provide you with the option to include your CloudConnector in our monitoring on site.
