The initial situation: getting closer to the customer.

In order to strengthen its presence on the Swiss market, Capgemini has consolidated its resources in Zurich. The outsourcing unit has moved from Schaffhausen to the World Trade Center and is now operating from under the same roof as other operating units. This consolidation also included the relocation of the computer centres. Capgemini went looking for the best co-location partner in the Zurich area and found it in Swisscom.

Capgemini operates business-critical applications, for example ERP applications, for many of its customers. The computer centres therefore require an environment in which the highest possible availability of electricity and climate control, as well as maximum security, are guaranteed. Every campus has a multi-level security system and is monitored by qualified staff. CCTV and remote monitoring are provided as standard. A high-quality security and building management system monitors operation round the clock and access is secured using a biometric system. A secure dataflow between the computer centres and to branch offices is also guaranteed: Swisscom operates efficient, redundant and highly available solutions for this.
