With over 36,000 members, it is one of the largest professional associations for healthcare. After the outdated private branch exchange was given a bad diagnosis, the association now relies on a Swisscom Managed Communications & Collaboration solution.
All employees of the FMH now use standardised communications tools. They communicate via e-mail, phone, instant messaging, desktop sharing or audio- and video conferences, as required. The highlight: besides the terminal equipment, the FMH sites no longer have a communications infrastructure. All services and applications are procured from redundant Swisscom servers. Strong support and services are also provided by Swisscom.
The FMH employees work in their familiar Microsoft environment. They can access all business contacts and daily data of the electronic subscriber directory from any location. High availability and security are features of the managed solution.
