Business Communication app?


  • With the Business Communication app, you can make phone calls from your business landline number even when you are away from the office via your mobile phone or PC.
  • You can receive calls to your landline number on your mobile or PC. You can control your contactability at any time, wherever you are.
  • You can use all the usual landline functionalities, wherever you are, on your mobile or PC.
  • You can also use the Business Communication app on the move anywhere in the world.
  • You can do more than just make calls with the communication package which includes Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) functions. Use the new communication options like instant messaging (chat), screen sharing, presence status, online meetings and guest access to collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners even more efficiently. You can access the business communication app either in- or out-of-office.

Login data

After installing the Business Communication app, you can sign in by entering your username and password.
Ask your company’s administrator for a username and password if you don’t yet have them.


Basic instructions

The main functions are explained at a glance here:


PC main menu (Windows)

Presence information

A coloured dot indicates your own and your contacts’ presence status. The colours tell you whether (and on which device) your communication partners can be reached (only available with package including UCC functions).

   

Contacts

Locate and manage personal contacts here. You can look for people in the directory search field and add them to you contacts. 

   

My Room

Use this option to conduct online meetings with several people inside and outside the company (only available with package including UCC functions). 

   

Communication log

Check your incoming and outgoing calls and instant messages in the log.

   

Keypad

Click here for the numeric keypad. Use it to make calls directly either via the app or your desk phone.

   

Directory (company address book)

All company contacts are displayed here. Right click the mouse to add contacts to your own contacts.

   

Settings

You can adjust various video, call, sound and speaker settings here.


Actions (for a selected contact)

Instant messaging (chat)

Click to open the chat window. Enter your message (or double click the contact) - (only available with package including UCC functions).

   

Calls via PC/smartphone

Start an internal call or access the public telephone network directly using the app with a headset (headphones and microphone) for instance.

   

Calls via desk phone

Start a call using your desk phone (provided it has been configured by your Swisscom partner).

   

Video calls

Start a video call with a person (only possible with a package including UCC functions).

   

Share screen

You have the option of sharing your screen with colleagues (online) (only available in package with UCC functions). 

   


Smartphone main menu (iOS)

Contacts

Locate and manage personal contacts in both the local directory and company address book. Use the search field to locate people and add them as favourites, for instance.

   

Chat

Logs incoming and outgoing instant messages (only available with package including UCC functions).

   

Call

Use the dial pad to make a video call (video calls are only available with the package including UCC functions). Hold down key “1” to access the voice mail box.

   

Call log

Log of incoming and outgoing calls.

   

My Room 

Use this function to hold online meetings with several people (only available with package including UCC functions) (videoconferencing with several people is not yet available).
