Protect your mobile phone

Ensure that nobody has unauthorised access to your mobile phone data or can use services at your expense.



  • Never leave your mobile phone unattended.
  • Switch your mobile phone off when you don't have it with you.
  • Always leave the PIN prompt activated. Then the mobile phone cannot be used without the PIN code.
    If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times, the mobile phone will be blocked.
  • Protect your smart phone with a code.
  • Enable the "Find my phone" App on your mobile phone.
  • Note down the your mobile phone’s IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number and keep it separately from your mobile phone. You can find out your IMEI number by entering the key combination *#06#.
  • Only accept configuration files from SMS messages that come from Swisscom or were requested explicitly.

  1. If your mobile phone is lost or stolen, block your SIM straight away in the Swisscom Customer centre. 
  2. Order a new SIM in the customer centre.

Swisscom blocks NATEL® easy SIM which have not been used for more than 12 months (chargeable calls, internet connections or SMS). In order to use these numbers again, please contact the Swisscom Hotline or consult our Swisscom Shop staff. 

We automatically disable SIM if they have not been used for more than 18 months, and these can not be activated again. In this case you are requested to buy a new SIM in the Swisscom Shop and register a new number.
