If your device does not respond when you press the buttons, please perform the following steps.
Charge your device: connect it to your computer or to the power supply.
Exit the current programme: on the Home screen, press the Home key twice to display the most recently used apps. Push up the app window and tap the Home screen to go back to it.
If this doesn’t work, switch your device off completely and then switch it on again. Hold down the standby button at the top of the device for a few seconds until a red slider appears and move your finger over the slider control. Then press and hold down the standby button until the Apple logo appears.
If your device still doesn’t work, reset it. To do so, press the standby and the Home buttons at the same time for at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears.
If your device still doesn’t work, you must reset your iTunes settings. To do so, go to “Settings” > “General” > “Reset” > “Network settings”. All your network settings (Wi-Fi passwords) are reset. This will not delete your data and media.
