The parental controls feature allows you to set individual surfing times for each device and day of the week. This gives you the chance to set surfing times according to age limits, or allow your children to surf the Internet only when you are also at home.
The parental controls feature allows you to determine automatically when your child can or cannot surf the Internet. Using a timer, you can define when the computers, tablets, and smart phones in your network (LAN and WLAN) can be connected to the Internet. You can set time limits for each device and for each particular day of the week. Several time slots can be set per day.
We recommend the Internet Box App:Do you own a smart phone? Did you know that you can also manage parental controls directly in the App?
How it works:
2. Open the “Parental controls feature” in the menu on the left and click on “Details” next to the device that you wish to configure.
3. Click on the “On/Off” switch in order to activate the Parental controls function for this device.
4. Click on the time line for a day of the week and drag the field to the left or right by holding down the mouse in order to set the start and finish times of Internet usage. Repeat this process for more Internet surfing time on the same or another day of the week.
5. Confirm your entries by clicking “Save”. The device will now only be able to connect to the Internet on LAN or WLAN at the established times.
|Would you like to benefit from further parental controls? If so, we recommend Internet Security and/or Mobile Security. Both these Swisscom products offer optimal virus protection for all your devices, as well as providing specific safeguards for your children, with a theme filter for searches on undesirable or dangerous websites.|
