Redirecting calls

If you are away for a while, you can redirect your incoming calls or faxes to another landline or mobile number. Several options are available. You can also redirect your calls permanently.


Your temporary forwarding options

  • Directly (*21): Your calls are forwarded immediately.
  • If no answer (*61): Your calls will be forwarded after 25 seconds (approximately 5 call signs).
  • If busy (*67): Your calls will be forwarded if the line is busy.


To set up temporary redirection:

Set up your redirection straight in the Swisscom Customer centre.

 

Login to the Customer centre



Activating

  1. Pick up the receiver
  2. Press the  key
  3. Enter   and the destination number
  4. Press the  key
  5. Press call (only for cordless telephones)
  6. Wait for the activation confirmation.
  7. Put down the receiver. 

Call forwarding has been set up.

Example: *210791234567#

Deactivating

  1. Pick up the receiver
  2. Press the  key
  3. Enter 
  4. Press the  key
  5. Press call (only for cordless telephones)
  6. Wait for the deactivation confirmation.
  7. Put down the receiver.

Call forwarding has been deactivated.

Example: #21#

Fast reactivation

  1. Pick up the receiver.
  2. Press the   key.
  3. Enter .
  4. Press the  key.
  5. Press the "Call" key (only for cordless telephones).
  6. Wait for the enter number message to finish.
  7. Press the  key.
  8. Wait for the activation confirmation.
  9. Put down the receiver.

Forwarding is set up to the last destination number entered.

Example: *21# - wait - #


You can extend or reduce the ringing time as you wish in the Customer centre. You can also specify the number of seconds for which the telephone should ring before the call will be redirected. Your call will be redirected to the destination number after 25 seconds (around 5 dial tones).

  6. Wait for the activation to be confirmed
  7. Put down the receiver

Redirection is enabled

  4. Press the  key
  5. Press call (only for cordless telephones)
  6. Wait for the deactivation to be confirmed
  7. Put down the receiver

Redirection is disabled.

Forwarding your calls permanently

If you have telephone numbers in several locations, you can permanently forward them to a central number. To do so, please contact us.


To set up temporary redirection:

You can set up call redirection in the settings of your mobile phone or using the following key sequences.


Activating

  1. Press the * key twice:  
  2. Enter   and the destination number
  3. Press the  key
  4. Enter the destination number
  5. Press the key
  6. Press call

Call forwarding has been set up.

Example: **21*0791234567#

Deactivating

  1. Press the # key twice:  
  2. Enter 
  3. Press the  key
  4. Press call

Call forwarding has been deactivated.

Example: ##21#

Fast reactivation

Establish the number of dial tones before the call is redirected:

Calls are redirected after 25 seconds if you do not specify a time in the settings. If you wish to shorten or lengthen the time for which the phone rings before the call is redirected, use the following keys:  **61*destination number**time# SEND, in which the time can be between 5 and 30 seconds. Note: it is only possible to change the time in 5 second steps.

Costs for call redirection

Callers pay only for calling the number they have dialled. Please note that the redirection of a call to a third number will be charged as if it were a call from your line to the third number. Should such a connection incur a charge, it will not show up on your cost display for technical reasons.

Charges apply when redirecting calls to foreign numbers in accordance with your subscription. Any current international options or inclusive minutes will be taken into account.
