Administrator rights are required to install Microsoft Silverlight. Open the control panel and click on “User Accounts”. Check whether the designation “Administrator” is next to your login.
If you receive a message saying that Microsoft Silverlight must be installed, although you have already done so, please proceed as follows:
Is the latest version of Microsoft Silverlight installed?
Is Microsoft Silverlight activated in your Internet browser?
Launch Internet Explorer
- Click on “Extras” > “Manage Add-Ons” > “Activate or Deactivate Add-Ons” > “Add-Ons used by Internet Explorer” > Microsoft Silverlight.
- In “Properties”, select the “Activate” option and confirm the change by clicking on “OK”.
Launch Mozilla Firefox.
- Click on “Extras” > “Add-Ons” > “Plug-Ins” > “Silverlight Plug-In”.
- Activate the plug-in by clicking the “Activate” button.
- Restart Mozilla Firefox.
Is the error message “Internet browser and system configuration not supported” displayed?
This error occurs when you attempt to install Microsoft Silverlight on an incompatible computer.
Please use the information provided by Microsoft to check whether your operating system and browser are supported by Microsoft Silverlight.
Please note that Service Pack 4 and Internet Explorer 6 are the minimum requirements for Windows 2000. Firefox cannot be used with Windows 2000.
