Do you already have a WLAN Connection Kit and would you like to connect another room to the Internet ?
With the WLAN Connection Adapter, you can connect up to 2 devices like the TV-Box, computers, game consoles via Ethernet connection in an additional room. You can also extend the WLAN range of an existing WLAN Connection Kit by putting the new WLAN Connection Adapter between the existing adapters.

The WLAN Connection Kit brings you the best WLAN performance thank to the most recent and advanced WLAN standard (802.11AC), in a compact housing.

The WLAN Connection Kit requires a WLAN Connection Kit, and is compatible with the AirTies Universal Connection Kit DUO.

To add a WLAN Connection Adapter to an existing WLAN Connection Kit :

  1. Plug the power supply of the WLAN Connection Adapter close to the Internet gateway
  2. Turn ON the adapter. When the “Power” LED is solid white, press the WPS button
  3. Press the WPS button of the adapter of the WLAN Connection Kit that is connected to the Internet Gateway
  4. After about 5 minutes, the “OK” LED is solid green
  5. Turn OFF and unplug the WLAN Connection Adapter and put it in the desired place :
    • Connect an extra TV-Box or another Ethernet device to the WLAN Connection Adapter using the supplied Ethernet cable
    • OR put the WLAN Connection Adapter between each adapter of the WLAN Connection Kit to increase range

To add a WLAN Connection Adapter to a AirTies universal connection kit DUO, do the same.


In case of problem or if the connection is lost :

  1. Using the switch on the back , switch OFF and ON the 2 adapters
  2. If that does not help, please proceed like this :
    • In the following 2 minutes, press the “WPS” button in front of the other adapter the “OK” LED blinks in green
    • After some time, the 2 adapters are connected again
  3. If the problem is still not solved:
    • Reset both adapters by inserting a paperclip in the reset hole on the back, press 4 seconds until the “Power” LED blinks white.
    • After about 5 minutes, the 2 adapters are connected again

Advanced configuration:

For expert customers who would like to manually setup the WLAN Connection Adapter, they can use the webUI. To do so, please use the following steps:

  1. On your computer, type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser.
  2. Input your Internet Box administration password (use your current password, or click on “First login or forgotten password?“ to enter the password recovery process and generate a new password)
  3. Once logged in, click on the menu “Network” then “Device List”.
  4. In the list, the adapters are called “WLANConnectionKit”. Find the line with the MAC address matching the one the sticker on the back of your WLAN Connection Adapter (the line on the sticker that begins with “MAC”), and note the corresponding “IP address” value
  5. In the address bar of the browser on your computer, type the IP address you just noted
  6. Input the credentials (default password is “password”).
  7. During the first connection, the default password must be changed
  8. You now have access to all settings of the WLAN Connection Adapter

LEDs

OK LED (green):

  • it is solid green when connection is established and has good quality
  • it is blinking green when the connection is being established or when the manual pairing process (WPS) has started

KO LED(red):

  • it is solid red when connection is established but has average quality. If you can see artefacts (freezes, glitches…) please put the 2 adapters closer to each other, or install a 3rd one in the middle ( « WLAN Connection Adapter »)
  • it is blinking red when the connection has not been established. Please have a look at the part “In case of problem or if the connection is lost”

Power LED (white):

  • it is solid white when the adapter is powered ON
  • it is blinking white when the reset procedure has started (to do so, insert a paperclip in the reset hole on the back and press it 4 seconds )
