Setting up parental controls

How to make your mobile phone, the Internet and Swisscom TV safe for children and young people.

Customer Center: New design, new name

Since February, the Swisscom online Customer Center for Residential Customers will have a new look. It has also been rebranded “My Swisscom”.

On your mobile phone

By default, Swisscom blocks access to adult entertainment for all children and young people under 16 years of age. This includes pornographic material via SMS/EASYPAY and the use of 0906 numbers. Blocking sets are automatically deactivated after the age of 16. All available blocking sets can be reactivated in the Customer Center.

On your Internet-Box

The parental control function lets you set surfing times per device and weekday. You can select age-appropriate surfing times.

Internet Security

Would like you to benefit from additional parental controls? Internet Security protects your children with a subject filter before they access undesirable or dangerous websites.

Option 1 on 2

Activating via the Home app

The Home app lets you set up and manage the settings for your Internet-Box on the move, including parental controls (not available for customers with Internet-Box light).

Download Home app

Option 2 on 2

Activate on the Internet-Box web portal

  1. Log into the Internet-Box web portal via your Internet browser (enter http://internetbox or 192.168.1.1 and log in).
  2. On the left in the menu, open “Parental Controls” and click on “Details” for the device you wish to configure.
  3. Click on the “On/Off” button to activate parental controls for this device.
  4. Click on the timeline for a day of the week and keep the mouse key pressed down while you drag the field right or left to set the start or end time for Internet use
  5. The time slots allow you to restrict when surfing is permitted during the day. Confirm with “Save”. From now, the device will only be able to access the Internet via LAN or WLAN during the times you have set.
