To ensure your iPad Pro 9.7 works faultlessly in the Swisscom network, the following settings must be configured.
Go to instructions
1 Configure APN
2 Configure LTE connection
3 Activate mobile hotspot
4 Top-up prepaid credit
5 Add prepaid or roaming data packet
Open the Settings app.
Then tap the menu entry Mobile Data in the left-hand column.
Now tap the entry APN Settings on the right-hand side.
Now enter the following details for the areas mobile data, LTE configuration (optional) and personal hotspot:
Now check whether the information shown in the image has been entered in the LTE configuration area. Update this information if necessary using the following details:
Use the arrow in the upper left-hand corner to return to Mobile Data Options screen.
Activate the option Enable LTE.
Confirm Enable LTE. Your iPad connects via LTE network if available.
Now tap the menu entry Mobile Data in the left-hand column and check if mobile data has been activated.
Now enter the following details for the area Personal Hotspot:
Now select another option on the left-hand side; in our example we have chosen the option General.
Now tap the menu item Mobile Data again.
After between 5 to 10 seconds, the option Personal Hotspot will appear in the Settings on the left as well as in the option Mobile Data, where it can be activated or deactivated.
Deactivate the WLAN connection, as the subsequent authentication must take place via the mobile data connection.
Note: You can still access the Swisscom Cockpit even if no data packet has been activated.
Access to the Cockpit is not billed.
Now close the app and open the Safari web browser on your iPad.
If required, open a new tab / a new page and enter “cockpit.swisscom.ch” in the address bar of the Safari browser.
Select the entry Credit in the upper left-hand corner.
Now choose the desired amount by tapping the respective line.
Choose your preferred payment method by tapping the respective line.
Note: It is not currently possible to use a Value Card / voucher to perform a top-up via iPad / Cockpit page.
Note: You can still access the Swisscom Cockpit even if no data packet has been activated. Access to the Cockpit is not billed.
Tap Add Data Packet to add a new data packet.
Now select the desired packet and confirm your purchase. If the data packet will be activated immediately, as long as no other packet is currently active.
Note: The available data packets will vary based on product and location.
