In the App
You can also use the function "Recording individual programmes" directly in the App
Record programmes that have already started, set up recordings of programmes that have not yet started or record whole series using the series recording function.
Recording programmes that have already started
Press the RECORD button on the Swisscom TV remote control. “Programme is being recorded” will appear on the display for a few seconds, and “REC” will be illuminated on the Swisscom TV set-top box. When the programme finishes, the recording stops automatically.
Recording a programme that is broadcast later using the TV Guide function
Press the TV Guide button on the Swisscom TV remote control to call up the television programme.
Select the desired language and press the RECORD button.
A confirmation will be displayed. A red dot next to the programme denotes that this programme has been set up to be recorded.
Recording a programme that is broadcast later using the Search function
Press the SEARCH button on the Swisscom TV remote control and enter the search term (programme, actor or name of a rental film). To do so, select the individual letters using the arrow keys and confirm each selection with OK.
Select the desired entry with the arrow keys and confirm the selection with OK.
Detailed information on the desired programme will appear on the screen. Select “Record” and confirm with OK.
Recordings are only possible with Swisscom TV plus.
You can programme two recordings at the same time. However, if two recordings take place at the same time, you cannot watch a third programme that is broadcast simultaneously, but you can watch a programme that has already been recorded.
Your recordings will be saved until your Swisscom TV set-top box runs out of storage space. Then the recordings will be deleted in chronological order. Recordings that are about to be deleted for space reasons are marked with an exclamation mark in the “TV recordings” menu.
Recording individual series
With the series recording function you can record all episodes of a series without having to programme each individual episode.
Set the frequency and duration of a series recording
If different episodes of a series are broadcast at different times several times a day or on different days of the week you can change the time and frequency of the series recording. This may be useful as you cannot program more than two recordings at the same time. For example, if a prime-time episode of a series is repeated later on in the evening, you can set the recording for this time and record another prime-time programme instead.
You can record a series in another rhythm. Press the OK button in the “Time and Frequency” menu.
The following options are available:
Select “Every episode at ...” if you would like to record all episodes of a series (e.g. daily or weekly) at the same time.
Select “Every episode at ...” if you would like to record all episodes of a series at irregular times of the day or weekdays and/or several times a day or week. Every episode of a series will be recorded, regardless of the time at which it is broadcast.
Select “Only one episode per day...” if you would like to record all episodes of a series at irregular times of the day or weekdays and/or several times a day or week. Only one episode per day will be recorded.
