Explanation, support and agreeing on rules are the most important steps for the protection of your child while using the Internet. Child protection programs are available to supplement and support you.
The Internet Security parental control function blocks access to all websites with adult content. The protection is also in force if your children use the secured device on another network (for example, abroad or on public wi-fi). Several age-dependent policies can be created which regulate exactly which content can be accessed by whom. You can also specify at what times of day your children are allowed to surf the Internet.
The Internet Security for PCs running Windows child protection program offers the following functions:
- You can define in detail which websites can or cannot be accessed by your children. Internet Security offers predefined filter lists in which more than 60 million websites are categorised by age groups. These lists make it easier for you to regulate access to websites.
- Your children can place websites on a wish list which have been inadvertently blocked or not been explicitly released, which you can check and release later on.
- Limit surfing to certain times of the day and days of the week.
- Create individual profiles for each child appropriate to their age groups.
Various services and communication options such as e-mail or instant messaging programmes can be enabled separately for each child.
