Select multiple messages by pressing the “Shift” or “Ctrl” button (on Mac: "Cmd") when selecting them. To delete them, drag the selected messages into the recycle bin with the mouse (“drag & drop”).
With just a few clicks you can delete several messages from a folder:
Go to "Settings -> email -> list length", where you can specify that a page will display 100 messages. Then go to the folder containing the messages you wish to delete. In one go you can now select and delete up to 100 emails per page.
All messages in the "Sent items" and "Spam" folders can be movedwith a single click: simply click on the trash icon to the right of the folder. Clicking the icon next to the "Waste paper basket" folder (as shown) means that the waste paper basket is irrevocably deleted once the warning message has been accepted.
Press the “Ctrl” button (on Mac: “Cmd”). Select the e-mails to be deleted with the mouse and drag them to the recycle bin via drag & drop. A single message can be deleted by simply dragging it into the recycle bin via drag & drop (without pressing the “Ctrl” key). If required, suspicious e-mails (e.g. spam, phishing) can be deleted without opening.
Unsolicited emails containing advertising material can be reported as spam. To do so, mark the relevant messages and click on "Report spam to the filter provider". The selected emails are then anonymised and sent on to the filter provider (a partner overseas).
Note: Newsletters are not usually spam. Newsletters to which you have subscribed but which you no longer wish to receive can be stopped by using the appropriate link in the email. This should only be done however with trustworthy newsletters for which you have yourself required.
