Frequently asked questions about the inOne mobile care subscription

inOne mobile care can only be set up with an Apple Watch within Family Setup. If you set up the Apple Watch for a family member, you can select the standalone version with inOne mobile care. If you want to set up the Apple Watch for yourself, you will need the Multi Device option.

Immediately after successful subscription activation and identification check. The Apple Watch has an eSIM, which means it can be used in the Swisscom mobile network with an inOne mobile care subscription without any further steps.

International roaming callsare only possible under the following conditions.

  • You own the following series or higher: Apple Watch 5 / Apple Watch SE / Apple Watch Ultra
  • Operating system: Watch OS 9.1 or higher
  • Roaming partner supports VoLTE roaming

You can find more information on the Apple page: Set up mobile on Apple Watch

No, unfortunately this is not possible. To use the Apple Watch with an inOne mobile care subscription, you need an iPhone with a Swisscom subscription. If there is not a Swisscom SIM card inserted in the iPhone, Swisscom will not be recognised as the network provider and you will not be directed to carry out the inOne mobile care activation.

Yes, this is possible. In the Apple Watch setup process (ODA Flow activation process), an existing inOne mobile care subscription can be selected instead of “Add new subscription” and a SIM transfer performed.

No. In addition to the Movetime Family Watch, the inOne mobile care subscription is currently only available with the Apple Watch.

No. With the integrated activation flow, it doesn’t matter where the Apple Watch was purchased. You can select inOne mobile care under “Add new subscription” directly in the Apple Watch setup process.

No. Only additional devices for Multi Device can be activated via the Cockpit.

This is not possible. inOne mobile care can only be set up in Family Setup, while Apple only allows you to carry out the setup process for another family member in Family Setup. You can select an existing family member or create a new family member. In both cases, there must be a separate iCloud account. If you want to set up the Apple Watch for yourself, you will need the Multi Device option.

As the Movetime Family Watch MT40/MT40S and TCL Family Watch MT42 only work with a physical SIM card, inOne mobile care can only be activated by ordering the watch at the same time. inOne mobile care is only available if the watch is also purchased in a Swisscom shop or from a Swisscom partner.

As the Movetime Family Watch and TCL Family Watch work with a physical SIM, you don’t have to select a subscription during activation – just insert the nano SIM. However, to take advantage of their features (localisation, etc.), you need to install the TCL Connect app on a smartphone and create an account. Pairing is simple: a watch can be added to the app by entering its IMEI number or scanning the QR code that appears in the menu.
