The 48 MP main camera is more advanced than ever, capturing super high-resolution photos with a new level of detail and colour. You'll notice the improvements in your portraits. And now you don't have to switch to portrait mode. If your subject is a person, dog or cat, iPhone automatically captures depth information. So you can instantly see your photo as a portrait, with an artistic soft-focus effect. Or later in the Photos app.

Action Button
By default, the Action button is set to switch between Ring and Silent. If you choose to do something else, you can mute the iPhone in the Control Centre or use focus filters to automatically set it to Silent. No matter what you do, the Action Button is ready. Activate the camera to take an impromptu selfie. Or record a voice memo instantly. You can even select 'shortcut' to open an app or perform a range of tasks, such as turning on the living room light and playing music.
