Departments

The specialist areas of Physical security are managed by the security officers. Based on the legal requirements, they issue internal regulations that must be complied with for all activities of Swisscom employees and commissioned third parties in all Swisscom buildings (incl. construction sites).

With the Electrical Safety Concept, we want to avoid personal injury and material damage when working on electrical systems at Swisscom, based on the legal requirements. All requirements regulated in the safety concept are based on the Heavy Current Ordinance, the Accident Insurance Ordinance and the guidelines of the Federal Coordination Commission for Occupational Safety.

Includes occupational safety and health protection (safety as an umbrella term) and refers to all employees, customers and partners who are in Swisscom buildings and facilities (including shops). Employees, customers and partners are being protected from external influences. They are also aware of the rules of conduct which ensure that they do not endanger themselves or third parties and implement them. Emergency organisation (behaviour in an emergency, evacuation and fire-fighting) is also part of safety.

The Fire protection department ensures fire safety within the framework of the applicable regulations and is responsible for compliance with and monitoring of structural, technical and operational fire protection. Considering the legal basis and ordinances, as well as the implementation provisions declared binding by the authorities (regulations, guidelines, directions, etc.), and Swisscom's internal specifications, the team supports all planned changes.
