Roland Abt has been a member of the Swisscom Board of Directors since 2016. After receiving his doctorate in business administration, he began his career in 1985 as the Chief Financial Officer of a group organisation in the IT and real estate sector. From 1987, he held various management positions at Eternit Group. In 1996, he switched to the Georg Fischer Group as CFO and, in 1997, became CFO of Agie Charmilles, now GF Machining Solutions. From 2004 to 2016, he was Chief Financial Officer at Georg Fischer AG and a member of the Group Executive Board. He currently serves on the board of directors of various companies.
