Cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and can affect us all. In 2025, the Swiss National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) analysed over 2,347,000 reports on devices infected with malware 1 – an increase of 141% compared to the previous year. People with many networked devices at home are often unable to independently manage the associated risks, leaving them vulnerable to cyberattacks.

Simple, reliable and secure

The new home network protection is the foundation of the My Security range and protects all residential devices where they converge: at the router. It defends all connections and internet addresses against threats in real time. Malware, malicious websites and hacker attacks are automatically blocked before they can cause damage. At the same time, privacy is constantly ensured. In the case of unencrypted connections, the service also checks for the unprotected transmission of sensitive data such as passwords. However, it does not analyse the content of emails etc. Blocked websites and other connections can be unblocked at any time in My Swisscom.

As the protection is provided at the router itself, all connected devices are protected automatically without any further action, such as antivirus software installation, required. It also covers devices that do not usually have built-in protection, such as baby monitors, surveillance cameras and many other devices in networked homes. The result is a reliable protective shield for the entire household.

“The home network protection makes digital security as simple as possible. We automatically protect all connected devices throughout the entire home without any effort. Considering we are in an era where devices are increasingly online, customers require a solution that makes life easier for them,” says Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Residential Customers and member of the Executive Committee of Swisscom Switzerland.

Suitable levels of protection both in the home and on the move

My Security marks a further evolution of Swisscom’s existing security offering for residential customers, including the free Identity Monitor, Callfilter and Internet Guard. The portfolio comes in four levels (XS, S, M and L) and offers various functional scopes to suit user needs: from automatic cyber protection in the home network to advanced security and support services when on the move. After all, thanks to the My Security app, mobile devices are also protected, for example through secure connections, password tools, parental control functions and scam warnings.

My Security XS is a new product that is fully focused on the integrated home network protection service. My Security S, M and L all build on this, supplement the protection with various additional features. With home network protection included, greater performance is now available at the same price. For customers looking for particularly comprehensive support, the higher subscriptions include premium services such as expert support or cyber insurance.

To improve customer awareness of cyberthreats, Swisscom is also launching a broad awareness campaign on the topic of cybersecurity alongside My Security. This will be communicated via a range of channels over the coming weeks and be supported by consultation weeks in more than 120 Swisscom shops across Switzerland.
