With the help of Swisscom and SOS Children’s Villages, you can launch a collection campaign. It doesn’t matter if the phones work or not, we will sell them and donate the proceeds to SOS Children’s Villages.
Local collection
The Mobile Aid Box is available to you for a certain period of time for the collection of old devices.
Transport
After the collection period, Swisscom delivers the boxes to the social organisation Réalise.
Deletion
The Geneva-based socal organisation Réalise deletes all personal data from the phones.
Sale
RS Switzerland in Fribourg sells the phones that are still working.
Recycling
Solenthaler Recycling in Gossau recycles the raw materials from the broken phones
Donation
The company donates all the sales and recycling proceeds to SOS Children’s Villages. The company receives a report.
Our Mobile Aid initiative supports the work of SOS Children’s Villages. 100% of the proceeds from our circular economy programme go to the children's aid organisation. They use these donations for nutrition projects in their focus countries.
An estimated eight million mobile phones lie around unused in Switzerland. The material value alone easily tops the CHF 60 million mark.
