Set up your e-mail program correctly

To set up your e-mail program correctly, you need:

  • Your Bluewin e-mail address
  • Your e-mail password You set the password when you created your e-mail address. It does not correspond to the Swisscom login password


Have you forgotten your password? Create a new one in My Swisscom.

Then follow the instructions and adjust the settings correctly:

If you set up your e-mail program on the device using IMAP, follow these instructions. 

If you set up your e-mail program on the mobile phone or tablet using Exchange, follow these instructions.

The account is often blocked for security reasons, for example if the wrong password has been entered several times.

Attachments larger than 25 MB or in an unusual file format are blocked for security reasons. Check whether a virus scanner or the firewall is preventing the download.

If you use an e-mail program, we recommend that you set theIMAP settings correctly.

  1. Check that you are connected to the Internet.
  2. The attachment must not be larger than 25 MB.
  3. Close and restart the e-mail program and try again.
  4. Check that the SMTP settings are correct.

Check that you are using the correct username and password combination. Be careful: The e-mail password is different from the Swisscom login password.
