Frequently asked questions about Multi Device

Find your answers

Multi Device is an additional service to your blue Mobile subscription and allows you to use your existing subscription on additional devices. A separate SIM card or eSIM is required for each additional device.

Upon activation of an additional device, a minimum contract period applies until the end of the following month. Thereafter, you can cancel the option at any time; the monthly fee will be charged pro rata.

Restrictions:

  • Simultaneous voice connections on the primary and additional device are not possible.
  • Sending and receiving SMS/MMS is not supported on the additional device.
  • When roaming, the additional device uses the available data or daily allowance of your blue Mobile subscription.
  • If you use the primary and additional device on the same day abroad, only one roaming day will be charged.
  • Multi Device is intended exclusively for personal use by a single person.
    Parallel use at different locations or use as a mobile hotspot is not permitted. In the event of misuse or suspicion of misuse, Swisscom may block your line immediately.
  • Swisscom assumes no liability or warranty for the functionality of third-party services (e.g. apps, instant messaging services or services provided by device manufacturers).
  • Multi Device is not offered for lines in Liechtenstein (+423 area code).
  • If you use so-called Connected Devices (e.g. smartwatches or trackers), it may be required to accept the terms of use of third-party providers (manufacturers or app services).
  • Swisscom recommends that you read these carefully – especially with regard to data protection and privacy.

Prices and offers as of June 2026

As of June 2026, Multi Device will be simplified and will be available as a standardized option for CHF 10.– per additional device per month.
 
Up to four additional devices are already included in the blue Mobile  L subscription.

The Connect Pack remains available and allows the use of up to four additional devices with Premium Speed at a price of CHF 20.– per month.

With the Multi Device option, you can extend your subscription to one additional device – for example a smartwatch, a tablet or a tracker.

If you use the Connect Pack, you can even use your subscription on up to four additional devices at the same time and also benefit from Premium Speed – for CHF 20.– per month.

  1. Order your Multi Device SIM card free of charge in My Swisscom – it will be conveniently delivered to your home.
  2. Go to My Swisscom and click on "Connect additional device":
    1. If Multi Device is already included in your subscription, select "Order SIM card".
    2. If Multi Device is not included in your subscription, select the desired Multi Device option and complete the order.
  3. After receiving the SIM card: Scan the QR code on your new SIM card to link it to your mobile subscription.
  4. Insert the SIM card into your device – and your additional device is ready to go.
  1. Open My Swisscom on your primary device.
  2. In the menu, go to "Devices & SIM" and extend your subscription there with the Multi Device option.
  3. Under "SIM type", select the "eSIM" option and complete the order.
  4. The eSIM profile for your additional device will be created and will then be available under "Devices & SIM" in My Swisscom.
  5. Scan the displayed QR code with your additional device – and your device is connected and ready to use.

For Apple and Samsung/Pixel Watches, the Multi Device option is added directly during the activation of your device. You can find further information on how to activate it on the help page.

The "Automotive" option and the Personal eSIM service for BMW vehicles will be discontinued as of 31 May 2026. Your Swisscom phone number can still be used for vehicle communication, but without the Follow-me function.

To ensure stable connectivity in the vehicle in the future, we recommend an alternative solution:
use a SIM reader in the vehicle in combination with a SIM card. This ensures that the internet connection in the vehicle remains independent and reliable.
