Search results with map

If the query is successful, the SMS will return a map link together with the search
result. If you enable this function, you can also retrieve a location map with an
Internet-ready mobile phone.

Useful information:

  • Abbreviate the search terms: In order to make entering the information easier, you can shorten long search terms by using the star symbol (*). Example: Sample San* Ber* stands for Sample Sandra from Bern.
  • Search by postcodes instead of the place of residence: If, for example, you are looking for a restaurant in Solothurn, and know that the postcode for Solothurn is 4500, you can formulate your enquiry as follows: Restaurant 4500.
  • The result “No entry found” is displayed: The 1811 SMS enquiry can only provide the addresses and telephone numbers of persons who are listed in the telephone directory. If this result is displayed, Swisscom will only charge you CHF 0.20 for the SMS.

A tariff surcharge will be incurred for SMS enquiries from abroad.

For example, you would incur a surcharge of CHF 0.40 (CHF 0.20 with the World Option Flex) for a successful enquiry from London, in addition to the regular price of CHF 1.00. The surcharge corresponds with the standard price for sending an SMS from the country in question to Switzerland.
