Understanding your Swisscom bill

Bill items explained

Starting on page 3 (see example illustration below) of your Swisscom bill, we itemise the monthly fees for your mobile, Internet, TV and other subscriptions according to the following categories:

The subscription costs appear on the invoice for the month in which you use your subscription.

We also bill the itemised monthly costs for optional services in your subscriptions and/or additional services, for each of your contracts.

Under this item, we subtract any discounts on your subscriptions and/or options and additional services from the subscription fees due.

Chargeable connections – for example, calls to business numbers or calls to or within countries abroad that are not included in the subscription – are billed the following month. You can view an itemised breakdown of all calls made in My Swisscom at any time.

Purchases on your Swisscom bill from third-party providers using Swisscom Pay, and purchases or rentals of films or SMS value-added services, are billed the following month.

We will bill you each month for the fees due for your Swisscom sure insurance products.

Unusual bill amount

Your Swisscom bill may differ from the usual amount for the following reasons:

  • Payment reminder: If you fail to pay your bill on time after the initial free reminder, you will be charged a reminder fee of CHF 30.–.
  • Phone unblocking: We charge CHF 40.– if your phone needs to be unblocked.
  • Payment at a Swiss Post counter/in the Swisscom Shop: If you pay your bill at a Swiss Post counter, you will be charged an additional CHF 3.90. There is a charge of CHF 6.90 in the Swisscom Shop. Free payment options

It is possible that a promotion or regular credit has expired this month and you are now paying the regular price again. If you change your subscription before the end of the month, the bill will include the costs of both your old and your new subscriptions. The costs will be charged pro rata according to the number of days you were on each subscription.

Not every subscription includes international calls from within and outside of Switzerland. Charges may apply when making calls outside of Switzerland. With blue Mobile M, for example, you will be charged for calls from CH to EU/UK/USA/Canada.

Be sure to check what is included in your subscription before travelling abroad and find out how much using a mobile phone will cost.

Using your mobile phone abroad

If you pay for apps, music, snacks or calls to 0900 numbers with Swisscom Pay or Premium SMS, these costs will appear on your Swisscom bill.

Pay through Swisscom bill

First Swisscom bill

Your first bill will include the pro-rata costs for your subscription starting from the date of activation. From the following month, we will bill you for the full subscription costs.

If you take out an additional subscription while you are an existing customer, your next Swisscom bill will be higher because it will include the costs for any existing subscription you have plus the costs for your new subscription.

Bill after subscription switch

If you switch an existing subscription, you will pay the costs for the current subscription on a pro-rata basis until the switch date and the costs for the new subscription after the switch date.

Bill following cancellation

On your final bill after cancellation of your subscription, you will be charged for the services you have used during the last month.
