How the new «We are Family!» discount works

If there are multiple blue Mobile subscriptions in the same household, you will receive a 50% discount on the 2nd to 5th blue Mobile subscription each month. For these blue Mobile subscriptions, you resolve any issues that arise on the My Swisscom App and swisscom.ch.

Requirements

You can combine the following blue Mobile subscriptions to benefit from the discount:

2nd to 5th subscription – 50% discount

blue Mobile S / M / L 

blue Kids Mobile / Watch 2.0 

  • At least two eligible blue Mobile subscriptions at the same residential address. 
  • The blue Mobile subscriptions must either be in the same name or entered in My Swisscom under “My Household”. 
  • You accept the applicable terms and conditions, such as the extension of the minimum contractual term by 24 months and that you will need to resolve your issues around the clock on the app and website instead of the hotline or Shop. Your 1st blue Mobile subscription is not affected by these terms and conditions. 
  • Existing promotions and discounts may be cancelled. 

Yes. You benefit from the Combi Discount (formerly blue Benefit), if you combine blue Internet and blue Mobile in the same household. You receive a monthly Combi Discount of 20.– on the 1st blue Mobile subscription. You then get the 50% «We are Family!» discount on the 2nd to 5th blue Mobile subscriptions.

The «We are Family!» discount is valid as long as the blue Mobile subscriptions meet the requirements. 

Getting the new «We are Family!» discount

The procedure varies depending on whether there is another person in your household who already has a blue Mobile subscription:

  • You have a blue Mobile subscription and take out another:
    If both subscriptions are registered to the same customer number, you automatically receive the «We are Family!» discount – provided that you have selected this when ordering.
  • Someone else has a blue Mobile subscription and you (now) have one too:
    That person needs to invite you to join “My Household” in My Swisscom(opens in new tab).
  • You have a blue Mobile subscription and someone else (now) has one too:
    Invite that person to join “My Household” in My Swisscom(opens in new tab).
  • You previously benefited from the old Family Discount:
    The person who manages “My Household” in My Swisscom(opens in new tab) needs to remove you and re-invite you.

Managing “My Household”

If someone in your household already has an Internet subscription, they need to invite the other people to join “My Household” in My Swisscom. If there are only blue Mobile subscriptions, anyone can invite the others to join “My Household”. Please note that the person who sends out the invite will not benefit from the discount.

Inviting other people to join “My Household”:  

  1. Log in to My Swisscom. 
  2. Go to “My Household”  “Manage My Household”. 
  3. Select “Invite” and enter the person’s telephone number. 
  4. The person receives an SMS containing an invitation and link. 
  5. If this person accepts the invitation, the number appears in “My Household”.  
  6. The person invited receives the discount on their bill. 

People who receive invitations cannot manage “My Household”.

FAQs

If someone in your household already has an Internet subscription, this person has to invite the other people to join “My Household” in My Swisscom and their blue Mobile subscription will be position 1.

Otherwise, the person who invites other people to join “My Household” in My Swisscom is automatically in position 1.

If all subscriptions are registered to the same customer number, the subscription moves to the number in position 2. If you are combining blue Internet with blue Mobile, then this subscription will receive the Combi Discount instead of the «We are Family!» discount in the future. Otherwise, the subscription that was previously in second place and is now in first place will pay the full subscription price.

If the blue Mobile subscriptions are not registered to the same customer number, “My Household” is cancelled and the subscriptions it contains lose the «We are Family!» discount. Someone else from the household can invite additional people to join “My Household”. 

  • If it is removed from “My Household”. 
  • If the address no longer matches the other subscriptions in “My Household”.  
  • When you switch to a different subscription that no longer meets the requirements. 

The CHF 20.– Combi Discount will no longer apply. “My Household” will remain in My Swisscom. You will continue to benefit from the Family Discount if you have multiple blue Mobile subscriptions.  

If all the subscriptions in “My Household” belong to the same customer number, the discount continues to run as usual.

If the subscriptions belong to different customer numbers, the address must be changed for all subscriptions on the same date within one week. Otherwise “My Household” will be cancelled and will need to be set up again. In this case, the minimum contract period is automatically extended to 24 months.

For the 2nd to 5th subscriptions, you resolve any issues that arise on the My Swisscom App and swisscom.ch. You do not immediately seek telephone support or advice in a Shop.

You benefit from the Combi Discount (formerly blue Benefit), if you combine blue Internet and blue Mobile. This discount provides a monthly saving of 20.– on the first blue Mobile subscription in the household. With the “We are Family!” Discount, you will save if you have multiple blue Mobile subscriptions in the same household. Every month, you will receive a 50% discount on the second to fifth subscription. You also agree not to call the hotline or visit the Shop should you require assistance.

You can apply both discounts on up to 5 blue Mobile subscriptions in the same household.

If you combine both discounts, you will receive a CHF 20.– discount on the first blue Mobile subscription and a 50% “We are Family!” Discount on every additional blue Mobile subscription in the household.

The 50 % «We are Family!» discount replaces the previous Family discount of 30.– per month. However, there will be no automatic change: Anyone with the previous Family discount will keep it. You can switch to the new «We are Family!» discount at any time. Remove the affected persons from "My household" and invite them again. Please note that the contract of these people will be extended by 24 months and from this point onwards, issues can only be resolved via the My Swisscom App and swisscom.ch.

The person with Simply Digital will only retain the Simply Digital discount if they invite other blue Mobile subscriptions to join “My Household”. The blue Mobile subscriptions in positions 2 to 5 in “My Household” receive the “We are Family!” discount instead of the Simply Digital discount.
