Yes, Apple Watch (from watchOS 9.1 with Apple Watch Series 5, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Ultra and later) and the Samsung Galaxy Watch support international roaming and can be used abroad. Please note that the requirements for VoLTE Roaming must be met.

Some devices cannot receive a roaming SMS, so you may not receive an SMS with the price information for using the device abroad. For information about costs for usage in different countries, please refer to the Cockpit.

Apple Watch: Open the “Apple Watch” app on your iPhone, tap “My Watch” and then tap the Apple Watch at the top of the screen. Tap the “Info” button and then “Unpair Apple Watch”.

Samsung watch: Go to “General” and “Reset” via “Settings”.

The device must be removed from the Swisscom Cockpit and the Multi Device Option deactivated. This will cancel the monthly Multi Device costs. The additional devices can be removed at any time free of charge. The costs incurred in this month are charged pro rata.

Block your eSIM profile at https://cockpit.swisscom.ch(opens in new tab).

Important: secure your smartwatch with a personal device code when you start to use it as the device does not have a SIM pin.

FAQs

The Multi Device option can be activated with all Enterprise Mobile subscriptions with the exception of Enterprise Mobile Global (because 5 additional devices are included in the subscription price).

No. Multi Device is intended for personal use by a single individual. All devices can be reached using the same telephone number. Anyone who has access to your additional device can use your services at home and abroad and has access to the Cockpit (cockpit.swisscom.ch(opens in new tab)), for example. They can make changes to the settings for your devices there.

Swisscom assumes no liability or guarantee for the function of third-party services (such as third-party instant messaging or apps) with Multi Device. WhatsApp currently (as of April 2017) only supports the use of the WhatsApp account with one number(opens in new tab) on one device. iMessage is supported for Multi Device. Receiving iMessages and SMS on multiple devices must be set up with your Apple ID in the settings of your Apple devices(opens in new tab).

The Multi Device option is only charged after it has been activated.

You can simply remove the Multi Device SIM from your additional device and insert it into your new additional device. If the SIM is too big for your new additional device, you can order a replacement SIM in My Swisscom Business (Customer Centre) or – for the opposite scenario – use a SIM adapter.

If you want to switch from a device with an eSIM to an additional device with a SIM, you need a Multi Device SIM for your new device. In the Cockpit, select the device you want to exchange and click on “Exchange device”. You will then be prompted to activate the new SIM.

You can cancel the Multi Device Option at any time. Individual additional devices can be removed via the Cockpit. In the event of deactivation, the monthly fee is charged pro rata. The device must be removed via the Swisscom Cockpit.

If you deactivate the Multi Device option, the SIM card in the additional device becomes unusable. If you plan to continue using the SIM card for another purpose, remove the device before deactivating the Multi Device Option in Swisscom Cockpit.

In the Cockpit, you can manage the ‘calls’ function in the settings of your additional device. Access to the Cockpit works from the main device and additional devices. Current costs and inclusive units for the entire subscription are displayed in My Swisscom Business and in the Cockpit. Usage is not shown per device.
