Immediately after arriving in Switzerland, all you have to do is switch from your primary SIM card to the Swisscom eSIM and the prepaid subscription will start working.

The Prepaid Flat subscription runs via Swisscom on the Swiss network. To use it, you must sign up for a new SIM profile (eSIM or physical SIM card). This means that you will be assigned a Swisscom phone number.
Data usage is via the new Swisscom number, but you can use WhatsApp with your own number, for example. The new Swisscom phone number is used for making calls and sending text messages. The prepaid subscription cannot be applied to an existing number. This is only possible if you already have a Swisscom prepaid plan that is still active. In this case, the offer can be purchased directly via Cockpit.
To activate your Swisscom eSIM, you must log in to our "My Swisscom" platform. In some cases, you may be required to go through two-factor authentication, which requires a Swiss phone number.
