Narrowband-IoT over the mobile network is optimised for energy-efficient IoT communication and low to medium data rates. It is used, for example, in the worldwide localisation of goods without an external power supply to the IoT devices or smart metering (smart meter systems for energy and water suppliers).

LTE-M

LTE-M on the mobile network supports full mobility with intercell handover. The technology is ideal for applications such as vehicle tracking, the localisation of goods, fleet management and telematics. LTE-M is optimised for scalable data rates as well as IoT applications with higher quality requirements.

Low Power Network (LPN)

LPN is optimised for the most cost-effective and energy-efficient IoT communication as well as for low data rates. Indoor penetration is very good. LPN is based on the globally established LoRaWAN standard.
