Swisscom only operates in Switzerland and Italy. In line with Swiss Federal Council policy, Swisscom may only hold interests outside of Switzerland if beneficial for the core business within the Swiss domestic market or of strategic importance.

In Switzerland, Swisscom offers residential customers an extensive range of TV, mobile telecommunications and other services. For business customers, its portfolio includes network, cloud and ICT services.

2022 revenue decreased by CHF 71 million or 0.6% year-on-year to CHF 11,112 million. Operating income before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined by 1.6% or CHF 72 million to CHF 4,406 million. The Swisscom Group’s investments increased year-on-year by CHF 23 million or 1.0% to CHF 2,309 million.

Our market share

Swisscom generates around 80% of its net revenue and operating income before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) from business operations in Switzerland. The Swiss telecommunications market has an estimated total revenue volume of CHF 11 billion, the market for IT services has total revenue of about CHF 19 billion. Outside Switzerland we are primarily active in Italy, where, with Fastweb’s market share of 16% in the residential customer segment, we are number two in the broadband market.
