beem is a modular cybersecurity solution from Swisscom that protects your company’s employees, devices and sites against phishing, malware, unauthorised access to your company data and other cyberthreats.
When using beem, your devices and sites are automatically connected to beemNet instead of the public Internet.
All data traffic passes through the secure beemNet, where it is analysed and anonymised before reaching the Internet. Cyber attacks are detected and blocked in beemNet. beemNet also makes it possible to access company data securely with beem (e.g. accounting software, file storage, ERP).
The beem app enables users to surf securely and access company data even when using devices in third-party networks outside the Swisscom mobile and broadband network.
User licences give employees and business partners access to beemNet and the beem app – for protection while on the move, working from home or at company sites. Company sites are connected to beemNet using a Swisscom broadband connection (Internet subscription) – to protect all devices and networks at the sites.
beem offers four levels of protection (Security Editions) – the higher the edition, the more security functions available.
beem is a modular solution for companies of any size looking for a simple and comprehensive cybersecurity solution, whether sole proprietorships, SMEs or large enterprises.
The price of beem is calculated based on three factors:
Security Editions
The Essential Security Edition is automatically included in the beem user licences and site offers with beemNet. The subsequent Security Editions (Standard, Plus and Premium) can be purchased as one-stop solutions for your entire company. The price depends on the Security Edition selected and the number of employees (user licences) and sites to be protected with beem.
User licences
User licences give your employees and business partners access to beemNet and the beem app. They are available both with and without a Mobile subscription included.
Protect & Connect: user licence for employees with a Swisscom Mobile subscription included. Choose from a range of Mobile subscriptions, e.g. CHF 55.–/month for Protect & Connect Swiss with management and protection of two devices and unlimited calls and data in Switzerland.
Protect: user licence for employees and business partners without a Swisscom business customer Mobile subscription. This protects users and their laptops, tablets and smartphones if they have a mobile subscription from a third-party provider or no mobile subscription. The price for Protect user licences is CHF 7.–/month per device.
NATEL® go with beem: User licence for employees of large enterprises, including a mobile subscription as an integral component.
Company sites
Company sites are physical company locations (offices, production facilities, branches etc.) with a broadband connection (Internet subscription). You can connect your sites to beemNet providing they have a Swisscom broadband connection for business customers, i.e. beem Office, Smart Business Connect or Enterprise Connect. beem Office with beemNet, an Internet subscription and telephony, for example, is available from CHF 119.–/month.
Already a Swisscom customer? You can protect your existing Mobile subscriptions and Internet services with beem:
Largely. In most cases, beem can replace the existing Internet firewall, remote access and e-mail security solutions, whilst also offering location-independent protection and many more mechanisms for protecting your company and your data. We recommend still using antivirus software on the end devices, as although beem analyses data traffic, it is unable to check data that is stored on client devices. Further useful additions to beem include secure cloud storage solutions and backups, Security Awareness Training and Threat Detection and Response. Discover all our complementary security solutions and services for SMEs and enterprise customers.
No. beem is network based and is operated by Swisscom in Swisscom data centres in Switzerland with quadruple geo-redundancy. You do not need to concern yourself with either software or updates. Furthermore, no additional hardware is required at your company site – with a Swisscom broadband connection (fiber or copper) and a Swisscom router, you have all the equipment you need.
After the two-month test phase, beemNet will automatically continue, and the corresponding costs will be charged to you from that point onwards. You will not receive a notification about the end of the test phase. If you no longer wish to use beemNet, you can deactivate access at any time in My Swisscom Business.
