«From Big Data to Smart Data for new decision-making tools.»
Raphael is passionate about the use of digital technologies to improve quality of life and to allow sustainable economic growth. Working with several towns, he developed a “Smart Data” tool that transforms the millions of data packages generated by mobile communication antennae into traffic figures. He is currently working on developing a methodology that would help towns to achieve a digital transition by means of an initial study identifying the factors that lead to success. Before that, he accumulated 13 years of experience in the areas of marketing, sales and management at an international level. As a member of the Venture Kick jury and a Venture Associate at Swisscom, he also developed a mentoring programme for start-ups at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne [Federal polytechnic school of Lausanne - EPFL], where he completed a Master’s degree in microtechnology.
