The Galenicare pharmacy network consists of around 350 branches. Their analogue telephony solutions needed to be replaced with IP telephony. Galenicare is the first Swiss retailer to back Swisscom’s complete solution, Managed Business Communication (MBC).
Using the telephone to advise customers is part of everyday business at Galenicare’s pharmacies. The existing telephony solutions were historically grown, heterogeneous and often non-transparent. Galenicare was looking for a future-proof, uniform communications solution for all its branches, which would combine telephony, LAN and WAN on a single platform.
Within twenty months, Swisscom migrated 350 branches to its complete solution, Managed Business Communication (MBC). Galenicare can now control all its devices at all its pharmacies across Switzerland via the Swisscom extranet. Thanks to lower communication charges and considerably simplified administration, the company now makes greater savings than previously.
