What is the Microsoft Center?

The Microsoft Center provides you with a list of all your Microsoft licenses. Dashboards show you the precise details of your Microsoft and Azure subscriptions as well as your one-time purchases and all associated costs. You can also directly perform or schedule changes to your existing Microsoft licenses.

How do I log in to the Microsoft Center as a Swisscom customer?

To log in to the Microsoft Center for the first time, you will need a MySwisscomBusiness login(opens in new tab). Your company’s master user automatically has access to the Microsoft Center via "Inventory" > "Microsoft Cloud Services" > blue button or directly via “Applications” > “Order Portal Microsoft (Work 365)”. The master user is also entitled to add further users and manage their permissions so that your team members receive the precise access rights they require.

How can I add my employees to the Microsoft Center?

In order for your employees to access the Microsoft Center, they need to be granted a user account on My Swisscom Business. The My Swisscom Business documentation(opens in new tab) provides detailed instructions on this process. Afterward, the master user must authorize the new user for the Microsoft Center (role: Order Portal Microsoft (Work 365)). You can find the description in the My Swisscom Business documentation(opens in new tab). The assignment of the role to the new user takes place overnight.

How the Microsoft Center works

The Microsoft Center is a self-service portal provided by Swisscom that enables you to manage your Microsoft licenses, Azure subscriptions and one-time purchases. The new features and benefits of the Microsoft Center are as follows:

  • Simple product selection provides you with a clear overview of your subscriptions and one-time purchases per store.
  • The dashboard shows you reports on the services you have procured. You can also directly perform or schedule changes to your existing Microsoft licenses.
  • We offer you new price models for M365 and Azure to help you choose the best solution for you.

Order Microsoft licenses, Azure subscriptions and one-time purchases

Initial orders are always placed via Swisscom so that we can support you with our licensing expertise.

Go to the "Azure" tab, select the tenant where you want to add the Azure subscription, and click "Add Azure subscription". Please note that the first Azure subscription cannot be ordered through self-service. By default, the subscription is assigned to your main invoice. If you have multiple invoices, please inform the Cloud Adoption Team of which invoice the new subscription should be charged to. You can set the owner of your Azure subscription yourself (see Azure documentation(opens in new tab)). We are working on providing the billing account to you in the Microsoft Center.

Billing

The costs of using your Microsoft Cloud services are itemised on your monthly or annual Swisscom bill. If a subscription is activated or updated in the middle of the month, billing will occur on a pro rata basis. You therefore only pay for the days you actually use.

You can view your bills at MySwisscomBusiness(opens in new tab)

If you have questions about your invoice, contact either Solution Design for questions concerning licenses or Cloud Adoption for questions concerning Azure.
