The information you need for the everyday use of the Internet Box can be found on the display. Manage your WLAN or find the access data you need without difficulty.
The display also gives you step-by-step support to add devices or set up the Internet. Now you can deal with all common minor difficulties yourself. The inbuilt rotation sensor keeps the display turned in the direction you desire.
The plus key (=pairing key / connection key)
Using the plus key (+) you can connect wireless devices or DECT cordless telephones to the internet at the touch of a button. After clicking the plus key on the Internet Box, you have two minutes in which to activate the connection mode on your end device.
Please be aware that your wireless devices must support the WPS standard.
If you use land line telephony (IP), the two grey telephone ports "phone 1 and 2" serve to connect your telephone. Your telephone can now be connected to the Internet Box rather than your household telephone sockets.
Gigabit Ethernet connections
Whenever possible, connect your computer, Swisscom TV Box and other devices to the Internet Box using an Ethernet cable. Use the cable included in the box, which supports high data transfer rates up to 1 Gbit/s. To take advantage of the full speeds, please always use a Cat 6 cable. Information on cable categories can be found on the cable itself.
Insert the fibre-optic cable that came in the box into the fibre-optic port ("fibre"). Use the blue connector to do so. The other end, with the green connector, should be inserted into the fibre-optic socket in the wall. The cable is delicate. Be sure not to touch the ends.
