Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. These words by Gandhi summarise my philosophy of life pretty well.
I like to set myself unachievable targets in order to go ahead and achieve them. Mogul skier at the European Cup, pilot, participant in the Patrouille des Glaciers and the ESA astronaut selection programme – I’ve always been a keen sportswoman and have always looked for extreme challenges. When I didn’t make it to astronaut on the second attempt, my daughter said, “At least you tried, Mum.” And she’s right. The journey is valuable life experience and matters as much as the destination.
During my career, I have developed a range of innovations and put them successfully into practice. I am currently delving into ICT architecture, data science and data analytics, and I want to help Swisscom innovate with big data.
