Swisscom – the new partner of the Swiss national football teams

Come on Switzerland! Swisscom is the new partner of the Swiss national football teams, thus cementing its commitment to Swiss football. Christoph Aeschlimann, CEO of Swisscom, Dominique Blanc, President of the Swiss Football Association and Andrea Meier, Head of Sponsoring at Swisscom, explain the significance of this partnership.

Amidst all the football fever in the run-up to the 2024 European Football Championship and the WEURO25 in Switzerland, Swisscom has announced a new partnership with the Swiss national teams. “Sport, and football in particular, unites people from every background, culture and age group. When the national team plays, it creates a strong sense of solidarity and strengthens our identification with Switzerland. Through our partnership with the Swiss national teams, we want to encourage this passion for Swiss football,” says a delighted Christoph Aeschlimann, CEO of Swisscom.

Swisscom will be the official partner of the Swiss national teams until at least June 2028. The collaboration will support the full spectrum of Swiss football, covering 14 national teams, including the men’s and women’s teams, e-football and beach soccer. At least half of our financial support will go directly to projects for up-and-coming new talent. Swisscom is therefore playing its part in creating the best possible environment for teams to continue to deliver top international performances.

Andrea, why is the partnership with the Swiss Football Association a cause for celebration for the national teams?

Football is important to the Swiss people – and to our customers. Football thrills and captivates the entire nation, particularly when the national teams are playing. In times of increasingly intense competition, it is important to make long-term investments in the Swisscom brand. The partnership with the Swiss Football Association will enable us to support girls’, boys’, women’s and men’s teams from the grassroots to the very top level of the game.

What does the Swiss Football Association gain from the partnership?

Swisscom is a reliable partner providing support to all levels of the association, including youth teams, women’s teams, e-football and professional sport. Of course, we also have the expertise needed when it comes to the use of digital platforms.

Our partnership will enable us to offer our customers exclusive benefits. These include 500 discounted tickets for each home game (friendlies and qualification matches) and the opportunity to participate in exciting competitions to win tickets, signed fan shirts and fan balls, as well as meet and greets. In addition, we will regularly work alongside prominent players from the national teams to ensure that our promotional communications are even more direct and relevant for our target group.
