Talent on the Move: Ante Juric

In our "Talents on the Move" series, we introduce you to former and current Swisscom talents who have benefited from our internal talent programme "SCALE". In a year-long learning journey and beyond, our SCALE participants develop both personally and professionally. Today we report on Ante Juric, who made the step from System Engineer to Head of Enterprise Service Management. Enjoy reading!

To be successful in your position, you need experience, competent expertise and a lot of sensitivity. How did you come to acquire this?

IT has always fascinated me, ever since I got my first PC with Windows 3.1 in 1993. As the Internet and multimedia became more and more present and I completed my first trial apprenticeship at Hero, I decided to train as a mediamatician with a vocational baccalaureate at this company. After my apprenticeship, I began a part-time degree in IT engineering at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and worked for various smaller companies and then for Ringier as a systems engineer specialising in Microsoft, Citrix and Linux.

Shortly before I completed my MAS in Project Management, I moved to Swisscom and was able to develop and grow both personally and professionally thanks to the many opportunities, the positive corporate culture and the wide range of programmes on offer.

I am currently responsible for Enterprise Service Management, where I am deepening my knowledge of agile working methods.

What has been the biggest challenge for you so far in your new job and what do you particularly enjoy?

In my new job, it's a challenge to get an overview as quickly as possible, get to know the people and build up the network so that I can be productive here quickly. I appreciate the corporate culture at Swisscom, the support from my colleagues, the open dialogue and the opportunity to structure my working hours flexibly and plan time for my family and hobbies. Swisscom is also currently supporting me in my training and giving me the freedom I need, for which I am very grateful.

What things at SCALE do you benefit most from in terms of your development?

SCALE gave me the tools I needed to move into my first management positions and take on strategically important roles. In recent years, I have been able to dedicate myself to technical, sales and consulting-orientated tasks as well as project management and leadership challenges. I also benefited from the network and the associated contacts.
